Dick Krawczyk

Dick Krawczyk Play-by-Play Announcer

Dick Krawczyk is 37 year veteran behind the microphone, and lifelong resident of the Kansas City area.
Dick, is a 1980 graduate from Van Horn High School, and during his tenure at UMKC (1980-1984) he was the Public Address Announcer for the men’s and women’s basketball teams during the 1984/85 season.
Dick has been married to his wife Ann since 1985, he has two daughters Rebecca, Audrey (Chet) and a beautiful granddaughter.
Over the past 37 years, he has worked for a number of companies including local radio stations KBSM, KKJC, KCWJ, KLEX, KCAC, and KKLO.
Dick has broadcast hundreds of athletic events including baseball, football, basketball, softball and soccer. Dick worked for Avila University from 2002 to 2012 broadcasting football, baseball, and basketball for both the men’s and women’s basketball teams, and he also broadcast the NAIA Division I Women’s National Basketball Tournament in both 2015 and 2016.
Dick is appreciative of his wife’s patience and support and thanks God for allowing him the opportunity to continue to work in a field that he so truly enjoys.

Robbie Pierson

Robbie Pierson Play-by-Play Announcer Tech

A Tennessee native, transplanted in Kansas City. Robbie’s first memories were in AM 1190 in Humboldt, Tennessee where his dad had a weekly radio show and was the Color Commentator for Humboldt Viking Sports. Robbie went to Milan High School in Milan, TN where he played football and tennis. Then he attended Union University where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and received a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies. Then he moved to Kansas City after graduation. He met his wife, Kimberly, and they have been married for a year. They also have a cat that they treat like their son named, Silas. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University. Robbie is a Special Education Teacher in the Blue Springs School District.
Robbie was the voice of Lincoln College Prep Blue Tigers for 4 years including calling their undefeated regular season in 2019. Robbie has broadcasted football, volleyball, baseball, softball, and basketball. Favorite broadcast memory would be a 60 yd Pick 6 from Lincoln Prep Blue Tiger Israel Gentry in 2018, it was his first play on defense all year.

Flip Courter

Flip Courter Play-by-Play Announcer

North Daviess High School grad, social studies teacher and assistant softball coach and track and field coach Flip Courter joined the broadcast staff at Free Tap Sports Radio in 2017.
He has described the action of Kansas City Kansas Community College women and men’s basketball and high school football, basketball and baseball.
Flip coached three MSHSAA Boys State Championship games, winning a title in 2005.
He also guided the William Chrisman Bears softball team as they turned in a triple play.
Flip coaches youth basketball and track in Grain Valley.
He has served as the public address announcer at the Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence for MSHSAA playoff basketball games.
Highlights of Flip’s broadcasting career include working with his daughter Caffrey and his brother Richard (another retired basketball coach) while delivering play-by-play.
Flip currently teaches social studies at Grain Valley High School. He held a similar position for five years at William Chrisman.
Flip and his wife Laura are the proud parents of daughter Caffrey and son Casen.

Fred Liggett

Fred Liggett Play-by-Play

Having just completed his 30th year as a broadcast media professional Fred Liggett is looking forward to another season of covering sports in Eastern Jackson County. Currently, Fred is covering the prep sports scene for Free Tap Sports radio and the weekly Lee’s Summit Tribune. In addition to all the High school coverage, Fred is busy following local pro sports teams. In the fall it’s Kansas City Chiefs Football & in the winter Kansas City Mavericks Hockey.

Prior to the move to the LS Tribune in 2013, Fred spent 10 years with KPXE-TV50 in Kansas City, Mo. Before his television work, Fred worked primarily in radio and made stops in Warrensburg, Mo, Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Topeka, Kansas. Now Fred makes his home in Lee’s Summit, Mo, and can be seen at many events held in the historic Downtown Lee’s Summit area. 

Troy Snyder

Troy Snyder Free Tap Sports Radio Co-Founder, Tech Specialist, Broadcast Producer, Play-by-Play Color Commentator

Co-Founder, Troy has been involved in radio since 2008. Serving on broadcasts in many different capacities with the Kansas City Mavericks, Avila University Eagles, Missouri Mustangs, and the Independence School District. He has also been invited to do play-by-play for 2 major national championships, Women’s NAIA Basketball and National Collegiate Roller Hockey Championships. While he does enjoy being behind the microphone, Troy has moved a lot of his talents to the production side of the broadcasts. Troy has 2 children, who also enjoy helping on broadcasts.
